About Us
Alpha Miami Grappling opened in 2014, and has since shared the highest quality mixed Martial Arts training with the Miami community. We were founded by Carlos Sainz, a Martial Artist who is just as passionate about being a coach as he is about being an athlete. Professor Sainz received his black belt from Caio Terra, a twelve time world champion and one of the most accomplished rooster-weight Jiu-Jitsu practitioners in the world.

Owner and Head Instructor
Carlos Sainz
Professor Carlos Sainz is currently a black belt under 12x world champion Caio Terra, since 2009 he has been training Jiu-Jitsu. Once he began training he knew that he loved the sport and wanted to teach Jiu-Jitsu to everyone. Today Professor Carlos has been teaching Jiu-Jitsu in his academy, specializing in teaching techniques to ages 3 and up, his diverse style of teaching and true passion for his students and Jiu-Jitsu have made a total success for the growth of Alpha Miami. A friend, father, brother, and most importantly Coach.
Carlos gives it his all, and you can truly feel it.

History
Professor Sainz believes in training his students without limitations. After being exposed to Martial Arts instruction at many different schools, he realized that kids are often not taken seriously. At that moment, he made it his mission to build the best kids Martial Arts team in the world. By teaching even his youngest students high-level Jiu-Jitsu, showing his youth classes how to fight like adults, and providing them with the same degree of knowledge given to his adult students, Professor Sainz made that dream a reality. Ever since our opening, Alpha Miami Grappling has won both in class and at competitions.
